 Goals for the week:

  • Write game reviews
  • Brainstorm ideas for game
  • Complete value proposition canvas assignment

Summary of the week:

This previous week started with the group and the sponsor discussing whether she wanted the game to have only vocab puzzles or if the game could have STEM-related puzzles as well. The sponsor ultimately agreed to have both STEM and vocab puzzles in the game. This answer will help the group design puzzles in the future. The last item brought up in the sponsor meeting was scheduling issues as our sponsor would be too busy to meet during our regular time. That, unfortunately, meant that we'd be unable to hold a meeting next week. However, the group and sponsor decided to extend the next sponsor meeting to an hour to make up for the missing meeting.

Following that meeting, the group held another meeting to work on the assignment for class and continue brainstorming ideas for the game. The assignment in question required the group to create a value proposition canvas that included the game's pains and gains. After completing the assignment, the group spent the rest of the meeting brainstorming puzzles and mechanics for the game and how they would be implemented once development started. The puzzles and mechanics discussed will not be shared in this blog post as they are still conceptual and are likely to change week to week, making sharing them pointless.

Goals for next week:

  • Continue brainstorming ideas for game
